As we continue down the entrepreneurial road together, I will occasionally share with you some of the tools that I have discovered so far. I will admit that I am continuously surprised by the online tools that I discover. Each time that I have an issue or speak to someone new, it seems like I stumble on another free or cheap resource that blows me away.
Today I would like to talk about Canva. Canva is an online graphic design tool great for blogging, work, school, or simply for fun. They even have templates ready to go that match the requested sizes for your social media profiles.
Take a minute and sign up for your free account and then you are on your way. Select from the many free backgrounds and then upload your own pictures to customize. Add text to personalize your mugshot and BOOM you are done!
Not only have I used Canva to create images for blog posts and work related items, but I have added some quick text to pictures of me and my girlfriend to let my lady know that I was thinking of her. Brownie points were officially rewarded.
What I am most surprised by is how free it is to use Canva. There are images and special features that you can pay for, but you get a lot for your money with the basic free account. It is fun to use and I highly recommend checking it out.
This was an introduction to Canva. In a future post I will break the service down into a “how to” series and walk you through some cool projects that you could do today. But for now… What are you waiting for?! go start Canva-ing!
